J.Fleet Designs, Ltd. products are handmade in Vietnam; their artisans use the ancient lacquerware techniques. Carved from wood or bamboo, each unique piece is coated with over 20 layers of protective lacquer. Patchwork foils, cracked eggshell or mother of pearl are overlayed or inlaid to create the designs. Lacquerware is waterproof and heat resistant. Each piece is table-friendly for hot, cold, wet or dry foods.
